Inaugural Multi-Day 5K a Success!

The Hyde Square Task Force/Martha Eliot Health Center/Boston Children's Hospital Multi-Day Community 5K Walk/Run was held the week of June 5 - 9, 2012. Almost 200 people ran/walked four different routes throughout Jamaica Plain and Roxbury. Each day, Rookie Runners hosted the run/walk and presented a brief history of the day's route to participants. The week ended with a Community Fun Day, during which the Rookie Runners completed a 5K run of their own, returning to cheers and celebration for the end of their first year with HSTF. Many thanks to all the sponsors and those in the community who donated raffle prizes. Special thanks to major sponsors MEHC/BCH, BNY Mellon, and Ferris Wheels Bikes.
